Fairy Tail

It's been quite some time since the last time I read mangas online. Manga's is the Japanese word for comics by the way. More info on wikipedia.
Few days ago I stumbled on a relatively new manga which is still ongoing in Japan called Fairy Tail. While its story is rather typical, I found it rather interesting and it caught my attention. I've read many mangas before and this one is sure entertaining. It's full of comedy. While this one draws similarities with One Piece by Eiichiro Oda, Hiro Mashima takes the new trend of magical themed mangas to another level (sorta). Being hugely influenced by the godly status of Oda, it is not surprising that there would be references in their artwork or in their protagonists e.g. compare Fairy Tail's Natsu and One Piece's Luffy and even in their environments. References also can be made in their other designs. If you've read Mashima's hit "Groove Adventure Rave", you'll know what I mean but in Fairy Tail you can really relate to both One Piece and Rave itself.
WIth all that references, I got bored at one point but then what glued me to continue reading was the comedy and the retardity innit. Hilarious. This rivals that to IMHO Mx0 an ongoing manga by Yasushiro Kano, another good one and original in terms of comedy with the same magical adventure thingy theme.
I'd recommend you to check this title out. Currently it's up to chapter 71 (volume 8) . Recommended to all ages ;)
