Useful Internet Explorer 7 add-on/plugin

(source: Digital Inspiration)

We all know how IE7 sucks like shit. In fact, I still haven't figured out why IE7 crashes every time I try and create a new post with Blogger.com. Microshit has an issue with Google? (FYI, Blogger.com is owned by Google. Google acquired it from Pyra Labs in February 2003 [source].
Imagine, working with a dozen of tabs or windows opened including your downloads when IE suddenly closes or crashes without warning or simply freezes and stops responding.

In either of the cases, there's no record of web pages that were open in your IE window prior to the crash. What do you do in such a situation?

Firefox 2 users are lucky because the Mozilla browser has an excellent Session Restore feature that auto saves the browser tabs and will restart exactly to the previous state in the event of a crash or freeze.

While Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) has no such feature to recover work from a crashed session, a third party add-in can give you the same function as in Firefox which is the very useful "Session Restore" feature of Firefox in your IE browser.

The next time your IE crashes, you won't have to search the browser cache to recall the names of the websites that were open - IEPlus will just ask for your confirmation and will auto-restore the browser automatically to the previous state. Nothing is lost.

And if you click the "No" button in the confirmation dialog, IEPlus shows you a list of websites that were open in IE prior to the crash - you can open sites selectively, a lovely feature that's missing even in Firefox.

I prefer Firefox but I use both for compatibility and development sake. I don't bother using Netscape and others but I do occasionally use Opera (the portable one that uses "Tor"). Apple's Safari has been out for sometime but the last time I installed that it frigged up several of my installed applications including some of me codecs. Haven't tried its newer versions since. Maybe now its stable but I'll pass.

It would nice still to see the option the one function that IE7 has which is the capability to re-open 'saved' sessions (or tabs) when a user attempts to close all tabs instead of just showing an alert warning box and then closing everything. To avoid that, I usually kill the process (firefox.exe) and make it look like it crashed. Firefox will re-open all tabs including its history which enables you to use the Back button.

Anyway, if you're interested in this thing, you can download it from:
