Fairy Tail

It's been quite some time since the last time I read mangas online. Manga's is the Japanese word for comics by the way. More info on wikipedia.
Few days ago I stumbled on a relatively new manga which is still ongoing in Japan called Fairy Tail. While its story is rather typical, I found it rather interesting and it caught my attention. I've read many mangas before and this one is sure entertaining. It's full of comedy. While this one draws similarities with One Piece by Eiichiro Oda, Hiro Mashima takes the new trend of magical themed mangas to another level (sorta). Being hugely influenced by the godly status of Oda, it is not surprising that there would be references in their artwork or in their protagonists e.g. compare Fairy Tail's Natsu and One Piece's Luffy and even in their environments. References also can be made in their other designs. If you've read Mashima's hit "Groove Adventure Rave", you'll know what I mean but in Fairy Tail you can really relate to both One Piece and Rave itself.
WIth all that references, I got bored at one point but then what glued me to continue reading was the comedy and the retardity innit. Hilarious. This rivals that to IMHO Mx0 an ongoing manga by Yasushiro Kano, another good one and original in terms of comedy with the same magical adventure thingy theme.
I'd recommend you to check this title out. Currently it's up to chapter 71 (volume 8) . Recommended to all ages ;)

Tricks & Shit: Download from eSnips

Can't download from eSnips anymore?
You must've heard about eSnips. If you haven't, go check it out at eSnips.com. eSnips is a social content-sharing site, where you can publish and share any media type. It's a "fun" place. ;)
Recently, however, there's been a change of policy. They've removed the download button thus limiting your options. This has been apparent in all audio files. This is because that there are users who want their files to be protected giving them copyrights over what is theirs. Another guess would be that either they've been warned or they want to avoid getting screwed. Part of the idea of their approach is to flash-inize the content. A similar approach to that of imeem.com and multiply.com (which also before allowed registered users to download content). We'll be seeing more of these social web hubs heading this way.
Anyway, going back to esnips, there is hole in their approach apparently (yay!) that gives us our downloading freedom back. Well, at least for now. You can either download this one application or just simply go a website that will give you your download link (to put it simply). I prefer the latter.
Here are your options:
1. Download and extract the esnipsDownloader.
2. Visit the eSnips Link Generator and generate your download link!
Now, if only there's some way to download stuff from imeem. I don't really care about multiply. I think they've eliminated most of stuff there anyway. Of course, correct me if I got that wrong there regarding Multiply.com.
For your viewing pleasure and more info on this nifty thing, visit the eSnips page where this file is being distributed. Oh yeah, by the way... if you're downloading music, careful of those fake uns or so-called cover versions. You might bleed yourself to deafness or worse, death.
Now... back to downloading. Have fun peeps!

New (ok maybe not-so-new) trend: e-breakup

Here's the million dollar question: "Have you ever been dumped by e-mail or text message? Or – worse – have you dumped someone that way?"
I've just read some funny article from some news excerpt when I was arranging old newspapers. Funny, as I was going through some people's blogs I stumbled on that same topic: e-breakup.
That’s the new trend in dating, now it seems – dumping your significant other by e-mail, instant message, or even on your MySpace page or blog. Now, how tacky can that get? Peeps, have the friggin guts to do it the expensive old fashioned way – leave a message on their answering machine!

Funny Chain Mail: Pharmacology

Chain mails are annoying. I can't deny that fact. It's a waste of time reading them. I categorize them as Bulk Mail.
There are some exceptions though like this "Pharmacology" one. I got this one from Shawn.

"
In Pharmacology, all drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol also has a generic name of Acetaminophen. Aleve is also called Naproxen. Amoxil is also called Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen. The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin. Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we c an no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of 'cocktails', 'highballs' and just a good old-fashioned 'stiff drink'. Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: MOUNT & DO. Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them If you don't send this to five old friends right away there will be five fewer people laughing in the world."

Useful Internet Explorer 7 add-on/plugin

(source: Digital Inspiration)

We all know how IE7 sucks like shit. In fact, I still haven't figured out why IE7 crashes every time I try and create a new post with Blogger.com. Microshit has an issue with Google? (FYI, Blogger.com is owned by Google. Google acquired it from Pyra Labs in February 2003 [source].
Imagine, working with a dozen of tabs or windows opened including your downloads when IE suddenly closes or crashes without warning or simply freezes and stops responding.

In either of the cases, there's no record of web pages that were open in your IE window prior to the crash. What do you do in such a situation?

Firefox 2 users are lucky because the Mozilla browser has an excellent Session Restore feature that auto saves the browser tabs and will restart exactly to the previous state in the event of a crash or freeze.

While Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) has no such feature to recover work from a crashed session, a third party add-in can give you the same function as in Firefox which is the very useful "Session Restore" feature of Firefox in your IE browser.

The next time your IE crashes, you won't have to search the browser cache to recall the names of the websites that were open - IEPlus will just ask for your confirmation and will auto-restore the browser automatically to the previous state. Nothing is lost.

And if you click the "No" button in the confirmation dialog, IEPlus shows you a list of websites that were open in IE prior to the crash - you can open sites selectively, a lovely feature that's missing even in Firefox.

I prefer Firefox but I use both for compatibility and development sake. I don't bother using Netscape and others but I do occasionally use Opera (the portable one that uses "Tor"). Apple's Safari has been out for sometime but the last time I installed that it frigged up several of my installed applications including some of me codecs. Haven't tried its newer versions since. Maybe now its stable but I'll pass.

It would nice still to see the option the one function that IE7 has which is the capability to re-open 'saved' sessions (or tabs) when a user attempts to close all tabs instead of just showing an alert warning box and then closing everything. To avoid that, I usually kill the process (firefox.exe) and make it look like it crashed. Firefox will re-open all tabs including its history which enables you to use the Back button.

Anyway, if you're interested in this thing, you can download it from:
